Al Gore is a DC Favorite

Vice President Gore has a lot of support here in the Nation's Capitol for President of the United States. He is respected for his work on helping our environment, strong national defense and support and action on helping the citizens of Washington DC achieve representation in Congress. Because of this, we are urging Al Gore to run for President in 2008, so we are a grass roots effort to draft Gore for President. An additional reason for our blog is to support Al Gore in the Washington, DC primary in the spring of 2008. There will be a Presidential Primary in DC and we intend on helping Al Gore win DC and in other States. This is going to be a very exciting process.

That is good news. I think he is going to have a lot of support outside of DC too. It is the party entrenched and ambitious (those who want to trade support for favors from people currently serving in congress or the senate) who will be resistant. But let's remember that it is our choice, not the choice of politicians that matters.

Hi Paul,

it'll be great if you can make a post about DC statehood (things like the history, the players, legislative initiatives etc) at your DC4AG blog, and crosspost it here. I've been meaning to learn about the issue for some time.

thanks
NL

ps: good morning all!
